MULTIPLE LESSON ACTIVITIES
WARM UP ACTIVITY
Creative, engaging, and interesting preview activities and conversation questions that get your students thinking and speaking about the topic presented in the video. Students share their own opinions and experiences, express ideas, and talk about the topic while you facilitate extra conversation.
Multiple choice, true & false, short answer, number matching, putting events in order, post-viewing discussion and other listening comprehension exercises, all based on the video content.
Some lessons offer a definition and fill-in-the-blank exercise based on the context and usage in the video, while other lessons contain more in-depth vocabulary activities, such as phrasal verbs, expressions, phrases, parts of speech building, prefixes, opposites, and more.
Each grammar point is extracted from actual dialogue in the video, followed by a grammar box explanation, and exercise. Your students get exposure to and can see how grammar points are used in real life and then practice them in class or as homework.
Get your students working together in practical situations. Roleplays, interviews, presentations, making reviews, creating imaginary websites, event planning, and much more. Students can also take the opportunity to activate the target vocabulary and grammar points that they learned from the video.
Wide Range of Topics
With Fluentize’s video library of over 45 different topics and 135 comprehensive lesson plans, you’re bound to find some great material for your lessons. Fluentize adds 10 – 15 new lesson plans per month. Unlike your typical textbook, Fluentize’s lesson database continues to grow each month with topics across 6 different categories.
Video is a great way to engage your students, and by watching videos about thought-provoking topics that interest and inspire, you will keep your students motivated to learn. The topics on the platform are engaging, educational, and relevant.
Natural & Real English
Doing lessons with your students based on real-world videos gives them exposure to different accents, tones, voices, pronunciation, and terminology. They get to hear how native speakers use the language naturally in practical situations, which is one of the most important things for learning a language.
Tailored to Student Level
Each video either comes with 3 full lesson plans, which are adapted to student level – pre-intermediate, intermediate, and upper-intermediate, or you can find one topic with 3 different videos, which are also adapted to student level.
Explore the Outside World
Your students will not only be getting linguistic education from the lessons, but they’ll also be learning about things going on in the world beyond the classroom. Explore diverse points of view, personal opinions, experiences, deep discussions, and interesting questions in class.
Student Growth & Progress
If you execute well on the Fluentize lessons, your students should make some progress and become more fluent. The main focus of the lesson plans is for students to train their speaking, listening, vocabulary and grammar skills, but with creativity you can also transition the lessons to practice reading and writing.
